Information Technology Manager

Joshua Houchens joined Advocate Health Advisors in July 2020 and serves as Technology Manager. He leads the development and implementation of innovative technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency, improve visibility into business performance, and support agent growth and retention. His expertise spans full-stack application development, business intelligence, data analytics, systems administration, cloud technologies, API integrations, and AI-powered automation, enabling the organization to transform complex business challenges into scalable, data-driven solutions.

Prior to joining Advocate Health Advisors, Houchens worked as a Data Analyst and Systems Administrator with Energy Professionals, where he developed reporting solutions, managed enterprise systems, and supported critical technology infrastructure. Based in Treasure Island, Florida, he also brings firsthand industry experience as an independent insurance agent, providing Medicare guidance and support to seniors throughout Florida. This unique combination of technical leadership and field experience allows him to develop solutions that align technology with the real-world needs of agents and clients alike.

Houchens has a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems / Database from Liberty University.
